About the Artist
Leah Anketell was born in Bulli, New South Wales, in 1984. Her art draws from vivid childhood visions and is deeply influenced by the Australian outback.
Before becoming a full-time painter, Leah worked in the Australian film industry as a scenic artist. Today, she creates large-scale works using oil paint and ink on canvas and linen. Her portraits of birds are known for their emotional depth and stunning detail.
