Leah Anketell was born in Bulli, New South Wales, in 1984. Her work draws from vivid childhood visions and her lifelong love of rural Australia.
Before becoming a full-time artist, Leah worked in the Australian film industry as a scenic painter. Today, she uses oil and ink on large-scale canvas and linen to portray Australian birds with emotion and depth.
